By the end of 2022, 892,000 social organizations registered nationwide employed a total of 11 million full-time staff, with an average of about 12 full-time staff for each organization, according to the Social Organization Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA).

The organizations also provided temporary jobs for a large number of workers, such as researchers, social workers, and temporary employment personnel, when carrying out their charity projects and other activities.

In 2022, the MCA, together with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, issued the Notice on Promoting Social Organizations to Further Assist College Graduates and Other Groups in Employment Work, guiding social organizations to help with the employment of college graduates.

Statistics show that in 2022, social organizations across the country had provided about 300,000 positions for college graduates and recruited more than 169,000 of them. They had also created about 187,000 internship positions and enrolled more than 109,000.

The MCA recently issued a notice urging social organizations to help with the employment of college graduates in 2023. According to preliminary statistics, in the first half of 2023, social organizations across the country created about 165,000 positions for college graduates and recruited more than 73,000 college graduates, and they have set up about 100,000 internship positions, providing more than 57,000 college graduates with internship opportunities. Social organizations have also carried out more than 25,000 employment service activities.
