In an effort to enhance the legal awareness and self-protection abilities of women and promote gender equality, the Saihongqiao Community organized a legal knowledge lecture on Mother’s Day focused on combating domestic violence and safeguarding women’s rights.
The event saw active participation from residents and community members, with Lawyer Liu Xi from Beijing Xinuo (Nanjing) Law Firm being invited as a guest speaker.
During the lecture, Liu provided a comprehensive and easily understandable explanation of the legal definition of domestic violence as outlined in laws and regulations.
Using real cases and recent news, the lawyer illustrated the severe impact of domestic violence, including the breakdown of marital relationships and the hindrance to the physical and mental development of children.
Concluding the event, participants were encouraged to utilize resources such as the 12338 Women’s Rights Public Service Hotline and the 12348 Legal Service Consultation Hotline to safeguard their rights and interests in a reasonable and lawful manner.
