Translation is an important part of CDB’s work. We rely on a “crowdsourcing” model that consists of outsourcing translation of articles to selected communities of volunteers with strong, bilingual skills. Obviously, this model helps lower our costs, but just as importantly, it creates communities who, through the act of translating, will learn about China’s nonprofit, NGO sector and become interested in participating in it and supporting it. Interns
The english-language side of CDB looks for interns with a background in the social sciences, preferably with some Chinese language ability and interest and/or experience in the nonprofit/civil society sector.
Interns should have good organizational and communication skills and be familiar with MS Word and Excel. Click below for more details.
