On March 28, the ministries of Civil Affairs and Public Security held a video conference, announcing that they would work together on an action plan to crack down upon illegal social organizations. The action plan will be conducted on a national scale from April 1 to December 31, targeted at illegal social organizations branding themselves with names that contain words like ‘China’, ‘Chung Hwa’ and ‘International’, which accumulate profits in the name of the ‘On Belt, One Road’, ‘Military-Civilian Integration’, and ‘Targeted Poverty Alleviation’.
It was announced that the action plan will be centered around the banning of a batch of illegal social organizations and the investigation of cases of exploiting illegal social organizations to commit crimes.
