“伟大”的土壤已经开始产生

By Zhang Xuetao (张雪弢), Philanthropy Times (公益时报), April 18, 2013

Interview with Liu Xuanguo from the China Red Cross Foundation on the future for “great” Chinese foundations similar to those in other countries. Liu explains that after observing some of the world’s most influential foundations from around the world, such as the Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation, he believes that it will be private foundations created by businesses, rather than public organizations such as the Red Cross Foundation which are dependent on outside funders for their operations. He also speaks about the challenges and strengths of public foundations, such as their network of sub-organizations that allow them to enter and work with all levels of society.
