It was reported yesterday that Beijing’s Public Security Bureau (PSB) recently awarded registration credentials and chief representative certificates to the Beijing representative offices of five overseas NGOs. In addition to the Nature Conservancy, on whose registration we already reported last week, the other four are the Business Software Alliance (USA), Mongolia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, and the Korean Copyright Commission.
A ceremony was held to mark the occasion, attended by an official from the State Forestry Administration as a representative of the professional supervisory units.The overseas NGOs management office of the Beijing’s PSB and the representative of the State Forestry Administration awarded the registration credentials to the five overseas NGOs, congratulated them on their successful registration and expressed the wish that they would conduct their activities by strictly following the Overseas NGO Law and playing a positive role in their own field.
The chief representatives of the five overseas NGOs thanked the warm services of the overseas NGOs management office of Beijing’s PSB and the close support of the professional supervisory unit. They stated that they would strictly follow the law while organizing activities in mainland China, keep a close contact with the Public Security Bureau and professional supervisory unit, and contribute to the development of Chinese charity.
After the ceremony, the Nature Conservancy Beijing Representative Office offered a silk banner to the Overseas NGOs management office of Beijing’s PSB as a gift.
