  • Douyin releases 2022 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Douyin, Tiktok’s sister app in China released its 2022 Corporate Social Responsibility Report in March.

The company explored making a bigger impact in areas including promoting digital inclusion, enriching people’s cultural life, enhancing well-being, and addressing climate change. Noticeably, 130 million people made donations through the platform and 650 million yuan ($94 million) was raised for charitable causes.

Besides supporting online fundraising, the social media giant has also been putting efforts into supporting disabled people.

During the World Cup, Douyin launched a specially-designed live broadcast, allowing people with hearing disabilities to hear the commentary. In order to make travel more convenient for its visually impaired students, Douyin began laying blind alleys and carried out barrier-free renovations in the workplace.

This year’s report was again made available online. In addition, the company has optimized the color contrast and other visual aspects of the report so that people with impaired vision and color blindness can enjoy a better reading experience.
