List of 100 most generous people released

Beijing Normal University’s China Philanthropy Research Institute recently released a list of China’s 100 most generous people in 2012. Their charitable donations of more than US $10 billion, were more than 5 times that of the previous year, and were directed largely at education-focused projects. A large portion of these philanthropists had backgrounds in real estate, and almost 1/3 were from Guangdong.
