On Sept 15 at the 10th China Charity Exhibition, the China Charity Alliance launched a WeChat mini program which will serve as a member service platform. The program will provide members with the latest policy news, real-time sector information, and data.

China Charity Alliance is a national non-profit social organization dedicated to safeguarding the interests of the public and the charity sector and promoting the establishment of a professional, standardized, transparent and efficient charity sector.

According to the relevant data, as of Sept 1, the number of CCA members has reached 630, including 409 social organizations, 99 corporate members and 122 individual members.

According to the organization’s annual report, by the end of 2022, the total assets of the CCA’s social organization members exceeded 100 billion yuan ($13.7 billion), the annual donation income of 2022 was more than 50 billion yuan, and the charity expenditure was more than 43 billion yuan.

Among them, 259 members of social organizations carried out 1,029 charity healthcare projects, spending about 19.6 billion yuan. 291 members of social organizations carried out 1,202 projects in the field of education, spending more than 9 billion yuan. Members with public fundraising qualifications initiated about 84,000 fundraising projects on Tencent’s charity platform, with a cumulative fundraising amount of more than 20 billion yuan ($2.7 billion) and nearly 700 million people donating.

The development and operation of the CCA member service platform is the first step in the organization’s digital transformation. In the future, it will continue to deepen implementation to make better use of sector statistics in resource matching and eventually promote the high-quality development of the charity sector.
