1994 - 2008, Published 19 monographs and translations on reproductive health and health in the social sciences
1994 - 2010, Held 16 International Reproductive Health Cooperation Conferences, National-level Conferences for Professionals, and Training Courses
2002, Held the 6th Asia-Pacific Social Sciences and Medicine Conference, during which chairperson Dr. Kaining Zhang was selected as the secretary-general of the Asian-Pacific Network of Health Social Sciences
2008, named by the China Association for Science and Technology as an Earthquake Disaster Relief Advanced Group. Selected as a leading group for family planning in Western China, promotion of Tibetan minority health, and pregnancy and post-natal health care in Tibetan and the surrounding regions.

Distinctions
We focus on community development for impoverished and minority communities and disadvantaged groups. We emphasize gender sensitivity, ethnic culture sensitivity, and the application of participatory methods. We encourage the integration of medicine and the social sciences, theory and practice, international theory and Chinese reality, and theoretical research and social services.
