Defending the rights of migrant workers.

Goals

To help urban migrant populations to achieve self-worth through rights protection services and integration into the community, building an inter-city information network and mutual aid platform.

• May 2012 – October 2012, Shenyang Informal Labor Market Intervention Project for Migrant Laborers Seeking Work

Major Achievements

Through May 2012, Shenyang Little Bird Hotline had received 325 cases involving the rights of migrant workers, and has taken on 271 of those cases, which involved 1,529 people, aiding in the return of more than RMB 4 million in arrears.

Distinctions

We develop media strategies, working with Shenyang’s television and radio stations to broadcast migrant workers telling their own stories. We actively develop community services and urban integration activities, providing a wide range of assistance for Shenyang’s migrant workers.
