Distinctions

Shangluo is in the mountainous region of southern Shaanxi. Its economy and medical treatment are fairly underdeveloped, and the number of disabled people, particularly those with intellectual disabilities, is higher than the national average. We are Shangluo’s first charity institution to provide services for the intellectually disabled. We use social work methods to provide specialized services for the intellectually disabled, to make up for Shangluo’s lack of such services. We also advocate that the public understand, accept, and respect the intellectually disabled.
