To provide a safe and harmonious environment for the healthy development of children.

Major Projects

• Medical Aid (long-term): Provided medical treatment, psychological counseling, and intervention for abused and neglected children.
• Advocacy and Research: Created manuals and materials related to the prevention of child abuse. Held “Keeping Children Far from Abuse” activity. Carried out research in the field of child abuse and neglect prevention.
• Training: Trained police, doctors, social workers, parents, teachers, and children in the prevention, reporting, diagnosis, detection, and treatment of child abuse.

Major Achievements

• 2006, Center Director Dr. Fuyong Jiao received the Kemp Award, the highest honor in the field of child abuse prevention, awarded biannually to one international recipient
• 2007, The Center became a research base for the China Youth Research Center
• 2010, Center Director Dr. Fuyong Jiao was selected to be in the standing committee of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect
• 2011, Shaanxi Women’s Federation’s “Rights Protection and Aid Model Unit”

With the intention of extending child protection to include the field of child abuse and neglect prevention, we are the only institution in China which provides free diagnosis and treatment to abused children.
