Goals
To address the social problem of uneven distribution of opportunities, which we believe is the root cause of disharmony, by cultivating an orderly, caring, fair, harmonious and moderately well-off society.
Major Projects
We carry out projects in health, education, enterprise development, environmental protection, safety, compliance, capacity-building for village cadres, and empowerment of local change-drivers.
Thereby we establish and refine a model of sustainable and replicable poverty eradication.
Furthermore, we amplify impact by transferring the model and experiences to other organizations.
Major Achievements
By the middle of 2017: We have nurtured a group of caring and capable local change-drivers serving a population of 5 million people across china. We have built a people-focused, sustainable and replicable poverty eradication model in collaboration with them.
Our health program directly benefited 460,000 children, 400,000 women, 30,000 pregnant women, 200,000 elderly people; in terms of doctor training in counties, towns and villages, an accumulative total of 500 medical staff trainings and 55,000 individual training sessions were conducted.
Our enterprise development program fostered 1,397 enterprise leaders and 419 core members in cooperatives. We assisted in the establishment of 52 farmers’ cooperatives, benefiting more than 2,000 cooperative members. In total 843 poor households joined the cooperative and obtained the opportunity for development, benefiting 11,000 peasants. Government departments in 12 counties drew on the experience of this enterprise development model.
Our education program made it possible for 6,172 impoverished students in 12 poor counties and 4 first-tier cities to receive education. 2,388 volunteers joined the program. A total of 174,110 training sessions for farmers were conducted to improve their overall quality, fostering more than 700 local village educators, 247 model households and 2,140 village cadres.
Our environment program carried out 97 rural safe drinking water projects, building more than 20 reservoirs, ponds and ditches for irrigation.
