Founded and based in Germany, Interkultur is an international network of choral music lovers. Interkultur has faith in the philosophy of its founder, Mr. Günter Tisch, and wishes to create “bridges of encounters” for people around the globe through the tranquility and joy brought by music.
Interkultur organizes many major international choir competitions and festivals. Every year, the organization runs up to fourteen choral music festivals and competitions all over the world. Interkultur’s highest international advisory board, “The World Choir Council,” is known as “the United Nations of world choral music.” Experts from 80 countries share seats in the council and meet regularly every two years.
