China Service Ventures aims to provide support to left behind children in Henan province, and is authorized to provided services in the whole of the province. Currently the organization has staff in Xinyang, and has expanded into the Luoyang area. CSV provides financial aid, trains and equips teachers and school administrators, and facilitates faculty and student exchanges. CSV also has partnerships with provincial and local governments, education authorities and local leaders.
CSV's programs include the "Stay Behind" program, which is to help rural elementary and middle school children whose parents have left them behind in the villages to work in the cities. CSV provides scholarships, daily necessities such as bedding, and educational programming. The "Bo Ai" scholarship helps children to stay in school when they otherwise would have trouble paying for room and board expenses. Leadership training programs work to train and equip local leaders. The training also aims at giving them the tools to one day launch their own social organizations in China. Additionally, CSV helps to recruit expatriate English teachers to work in universities and colleges in Xinyang.
