Changsha Heart Wing Psychiatric Rehabilitation Clubhouse

Goals

• To help mental patients regain confidence and trust of their families;
• To provide opportunities to education and employment by psychological counseling, behavioral rectification, professional training and employment support.

Major Projects

• Jun. 2014, Survival training in the wilderness;
• Jul. 2014, held the first Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association Work Conference in Changsha;
• Sep. 2014, invited to give speech on “the Development of Clubhouse Culture in China” at the Fourth Asian Clubhouse Conference;
• Oct.2014, Training Camp on World Mental Health Day.

Major Achievements

• Became the first psychiatric rehabilitation clubhouse in mainland china to receive international certification in 2009;
• Second Place Award of the First National Outstanding Social Service Program Selection by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2012;
• Became one of the first organizations chosen as the Standardized Demonstration Base of Social Service in 2013;
• Bronze Medal of the Third China Philanthropic Projects Competition in 2014.
