As a member of Agora’s China Industry programme, you will play a key role in advancing industrial transformation initiatives in China, focusing on decarbonizing key emissions-intensive sectors such as iron & steel, and chemicals. This position involves collaborating closely with domestic and international stakeholders to drive policy advancements and implement effective strategies that contribute to China’s dual carbon goals: peaking national carbon emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060.

The primary duties of the Employee includes:

1.Conducting in-depth analyses on a variety of topics in China’s energy sector in general, and about industrial energy use in particular, regarding energy conservation, emissions abatement, clean technology solutions, industrial policy, and product standards.

深入分析中国能源行业议题，尤其是工业用能、节能减排、清洁技术、工业政策和产品标准等。

2.Drafting and reviewing research terms of reference, analysis and conclusions, research reports, and policy briefings.

起草工业相关课题与政策研究分析报告，审阅外部研究报告。

3.Developing and presenting policy and technical recommendations for Chinese and international audiences, partners, and stakeholders.

为国内外受众、合作伙伴与利益相关方设计和展示政策及技术建议。

4.Coordinating with team members and external partners on project implementation and output delivery.

与团队成员和外部合作伙伴协调项目执行与成果产出。

5.Communicating evidence-based research findings to key stakeholders in areas of China’s energy transition in general and regarding industrial area in particular.

将以事实为依据的研究结果传达至中国能源转型尤其是工业能源领域的关键利益相关方。

6.Contributing to Agora’s capacity building activities targeting young energy sector professionals in China.

Recruitment Qualifications & Requirements

录用资格及要求

1.A Master’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the energy or industrial or related research sector.

硕士同等学历或以上，至少2年能源或工业相关领域研究工作经验。

2.Strong research and analytical skills in one of the following topics is a plus: iron & steel, petrochemicals, coal chemicals, cement, or hydrogen.

在以下某个领域有较强研究能力的申请者优先：钢铁、石油化工、煤化工、水泥或氢能。

3.Good knowledge of energy policies, industrial policies, business models, and clean energy technologies in China.

4.Good command of Chinese and English (spoken and written).

5.Work experience in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
