Empowering Teenage Mothers & Girls through Education and Vocational Training
In Uganda Luuka District where the proposed project will operate, there are critical issues and problems related to education, especially for teenage mothers. The national education system faces challenges such as high dropout rates, limited access to quality education, and insufficient resources to support vulnerable populations like teenage mothers. In addition, cultural and societal barriers often prevent teenage mothers from accessing education or pursuing vocational training.
At the local level, the situation is even more challenging, with limited resources and infrastructure for education, including inadequate facilities and equipment. These issues disproportionately affect teenage mothers, who are often overlooked or discriminated against in accessing education.
The proposed project aims to address these critical issues by providing access to education and vocational training for teenage mothers, enabling them to acquire skills and knowledge to improve their lives and the lives of their families. By empowering teenage mothers, the project will contribute to reducing poverty, promoting gender equality, and improving the overall well-being of the community.
