  • Inclusive & Artistic Focus —— Traveling with Songs: A Journey of Inclusion and Harmony

On July 5, 2025, Traveling with Songs, a charity choir concert aimed at promoting inclusive musical expression, was held at the China National Opera House in Beijing. Organized by Liang Runni, a soprano and choreographer at the China National Opera House and founder of the Little Lighthouse Choir, the concert brought together the Little Lighthouse Choir, the Maurice Ravel French‑speaking Choir of Beijing, and students from Bethel China. Visually impaired children and students from Bethel China shared the stage with young singers from across the city. The audience included music enthusiasts, families, and advocates for disability inclusion.

The concert featured a diverse program connected by the theme of global travel, with performances ranging from classic music to various performance styles from Asia, South America, Europe, Africa, and North America. Through this thematic journey, the event celebrated the unique cultural essence of each region, allowing performers and audience alike to “experience the world through music” in a profoundly inclusive manner.

Liang emphasized that the objective was to provide a platform for artistic expression and to cultivate empathy through collective performance. All net proceeds from the event will be donated to Bethel China, which supports visually impaired children and students through arts education, rehabilitation, and community engagement.

By interweaving music and philanthropy, Traveling with Songs showcased the transformative impact of artistic expression in fostering empathy and breaking down social barriers, while encouraging broader support for inclusive cultural initiatives.
