China Small Animal Protection Association (CSAPA), together with iDreamSky, a gaming company, launched a program titled “Dream Guardianship” in November, to help stray animals get safely through the cold winter months.
Based on the gaming platform, the guardianship program encourages users to donate “biscuits” in the game which are then given to CSAPA to purchase the supplies needed, such as food and medications.
On Dec 22, the program raised funds for the first batch of dog food and sent it to Beijing Tai Da Quan Stray Dog Service Center.
CSAPA also plans to make animal adoption a part of the guardianship program in 2023, giving stray dogs and cats a place to call home.
