Eight types of Taiwanese social organizations can establish offices in Xiamen

The Ministry of Civil Affairs recently approved a request by the Xiamen Civil Affairs Bureau to allow Taiwanese organizations working in economic development, education, science, culture, hygiene, environment, sport, and charity to register branch offices in Xiamen. Yesterday, the Chinese Bilateral Travel and Trade Association established its representative office in Xiamen, the fourth of its kind. This organization and others will register through the beian management system, which differs from the formal registration of Chinese organizations through the Civil Affairs Bureau.
