The Belt and Road Green Brand Overseas Promotion Event, themed “Both Outbound and Inbound Visits Build a Green and Sustainable Belt and Road Initiative,” was successfully held in Beijing, China, on January 25th, 2025. The event was hosted by the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF) and facilitated by the “Belt and Road” Eco-Industry Cooperation Working Committee,along with the Beijing WEP Eco-Tech Development Research Institute.

This event marks a significant milestone as it serves as an international platform for delegates to envision a bright, green, and sustainable future through collective efforts.

As Yuhong Xie, Vice President and Secretary General of ACEF, pointed out, the event could lay the groundwork for the international expansion of eco-friendly enterprises. Delegates were encouraged to seize the opportunities offered by the Belt and Road Initiative, enhance international communication and cooperation, and contribute to the development of a sustainable green economy, working together to build a shared global community.

Delegates from various countries shared their perspectives on ecological governance needs and the potential for cooperation among nations along the Belt and Road. These included diplomatic and corporate leaders from different regions, who discussed their countries’ environmental policies and visions for cooperation. They unanimously agreed on the importance of integrating green technology and renewable energy, particularly in the energy and agriculture sectors. All participants affirmed the Belt and Road framework as a key driver for the global green revolution.

In response, representatives from Chinese technology companies showcased their green technologies and highlighted successful applications in addressing real environmental challenges.

A highlight of the event was the launch of the “Belt and Road Green Brand Plans to Go Overseas” project, which included the presentation of Belt and Road Green Supply Chain Cases and the Belt and Road Recommended Directory of Ecological Environmental Management Technologies and Products. Xiang Shi, Secretary of ACEF, awarded outstanding member companies, welcomed three new members to the initiative. This project not only supports China’s environmental protection efforts but also contributes to global ecological environmental governance.
