On September 19th, China Development Brief (CDB), together with Beijing Ginkgo Foundation(北京市银杏公益基金会), will hold a seminar, titled “Creative Approaches for the Localization of Overseas Practice”(海外经验在本土的创新实践), at the fourth China Charity Fair in Shenzhen. Leaders from foundations/NPOs and representatives of philanthropic media who have experience in exchanging with or visiting overseas philanthropic organizations will share their stories and discuss the challenges and risks they are facing. The aim of this seminar is to push the development of the public welfare sector by learning from foreign countries and drawing on their experience.
CDB was founded in 1996 and registered in 2003 as the Beijing Civil Society Development Research Center, serving as a bilingual platform for the Chinese civil society. The co-host of this event, Beijing Ginkgo Foundation, was founded in July 2015. As a nonpublic fund-raising foundation, it sponsors outstanding talents and organizations in the public welfare sector, and conducts related research, trainings and communication events.
