Goals

We collaborate with women to integrate social power from a variety of sources. We dedicate our work to building a resource-sharing society, providing equal opportunities for women, and eliminating gender discrimination.

Major Projects

• Women and Children Rights Protection: First public welfare hotline for women in China on the provincial level, serving as a basic community supporting system in migrant communities (2011)
• “Stop and Prevent Domestic Violence:” Domestic Violence Prevention Hotline (2011) and establishment of Shaanxi Research Association For Women, Lianhu District Court Social Work Service Station (2010)
• Social Gender Training and Advocacy: In 1998, social gender training had been integrated into all projects by holding social gender training and lectures, publishing the “Western Woman” magazine and website, establishing a social gender resource center, and providing local experiences and consulting service in order to promote gender mainstreaming

Distinctions

We use social work methods to establish an anti-domestic violence intervention framework, and provide women with comprehensive services such as a hotline, social workers consulting service, psychological consultancy, general help and assistance, and legal aid.
