Center of Consultation for Farmers' Associations

We are committed to exploring an ecologically sustainable, viable path for modern agricultural development. We hope to achieve this through legislation advocacy and supporting a new township agricultural association (united rural cooperative).

Goals

Urban/rural equality, mutual thriving, agricultural prosperity, a collective voice, and social harmony.

Major Projects

• 2008 – Present, Collaborated with Hubei Jianshi Township Government to develop a united rural cooperative trial.
• 2010 – Present, Professional Rural Cooperative Organization Team-Building Project
• 2010 – Present, Small Grants Program: Financial models, community planning, summer camp
• 2011 – 2012, Held three expert symposia: Rural Cooperative Finance, Rural Product Circulation, and Taiwan Farmers' Association System Assets

Major Achievements

• 2011, The Jianshi agricultural cooperative pilot model was included in the local government's social management innovation collection.
• Through March 2012, We published three issues of “United Rural Cooperative” magazine, compiling research in theory, policy, and practice.
• July 2011 – March 2012, Investigated the Taiwan Farmers' Association and the Korean Rural Cooperative.
• November 2011, Carried out the first “Rural Cooperative CEO” Training, with more than 23 participants.

Distinctions

We advocate and guide rural cooperative organizations toward collective credit, distribution, promotion, education, and social services. We are also committed to forging resource links between rural cooperatives and society, as well as urging local governments to carry out united rural cooperative pilots.
