Job Description

Join CFA Institute as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist in our Beijing office. This is a newly created hybrid role that blends regulatory reporting, data coordination, and government engagement support—all critical to CFA Institute’s growing presence and compliance obligations in China.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee end-to-end preparation and submission of annual reports, financial statements, audit documents, and other filings
  • Serve as the lead administrator, managing documentation, submission appointments, and approvals
  • Draft formal communications and explanation letters to regulators using appropriate government language
  • Ensure accurate, timely regulatory data reporting for the CFA Program, collaborating with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and our Chinese partner
  • Coordinate with IT and Education teams to deliver compliant data submissions across four annual exam cycles
  • Support government engagement efforts including meeting preparation, logistics, briefing materials, and follow-ups
  • Act as liaison for government queries and educate internal stakeholders on regulatory filing requirements
  • Project manage the annual regulatory body review process and drive operational excellence in reporting standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in regulatory reporting, government affairs, or compliance roles—ideally in an international or regulatory-facing organisation
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with proven ability to draft and translate professional documentation and correspondence in both languages
  • Experience liaising with government entities and managing sensitive or confidential communications with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to build trusted relationships and collaborate across teams and time zones
  • A team player with emotional intelligence, a proactive attitude, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving processes
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Technically proficient with Microsoft Office and confident in working with data tools, portals, or submission platforms
  • Prior project coordination or cross-functional reporting experience

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a mission-led global organisation dedicated to raising the standards of the investment profession.
  • Make a visible impact in a high-stakes regulatory environment while growing your career in government relations and compliance.
  • Work in a supportive, inclusive, and internationally collaborative team environment.
