Job Summary

The Operations Associate will be responsible for supporting the operational functions of ClimateWorks presence in China, in close consultation with the Associate Director of Strategy and Planning. This role also involves liaising with headquarters to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess operational expertise and a deep understanding of the non-profit sector in both the US and China.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following and other duties as assigned:

●      Support the Head of CWF China Program to oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.

●      Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the CWF China Program’s goals and objectives.

●      Support the Head of CWF China Program with the liaison between the China team and headquarters, facilitating communication and collaboration.

●      Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

●      Assist to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize operational performance.

●      Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies, maintaining high standards of governance and risk management.

●      Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources.

●      Work with team members across departments to provide operational support, enhancing collaboration and efficiency in project execution.

●      Facilitate employee engagement activities and promote a positive workplace culture.

●      Provide guidance and support for external partners and consultants.

Required Qualifications

●      Undergraduate degree required.

●      At least six years of relevant, professional experience including, but not limited to, operation support and relationship management.

●      Good writing, editing and communications skills in both Chinese and English.

●       Attention to details and strong organizational skills.

●      Experience and comfort working in a highly collaborative and deadline-driven professional environment.

●      Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multi-task.

●      Ability to effectively manage time, projects, budgets and teams with minimal supervision.

●      Excellent personal and interpersonal skills and a great team player.

●      Ability to occasionally take early or late calls to accommodate different time zones where needed.

Location

ClimateWorks Foundation is based in the San Francisco Financial District. This position will be based in Beijing, China.
