Reading Dreams Foundation Library Project for Rural Primary Schools in Mainland China. Reading Dreams Foundation is a charitable foundation aiming to set up school libraries in rural communities where pupils can learn to develop reading skills and habits so that they may realise their dreams. Reading is the “cornerstone of learning & personal growth”.
Reading literacy is a key development milestone in quality education. Children are the future. A child’s reading interest is established within ages 3-10. Once missed, it’s not only a personal loss, it’s also a social and national loss. Schools must provide a supportive environment for children to develop their reading habits and skills.
The Foundation coordinates the bulk purchase of books & furniture to develop school libraries. The Foundation acts as a consultant for classroom settings and promotional reading activities. Schools conduct a reading award scheme and the Foundation provides recommended book lists & book selection criteria.
