Job Description

Founded in 2021, Agora Energy China develops feasible and science-based proposals to advance the clean energy transition and achieve climate neutrality in China and beyond. Our work focuses on clean power system transformation, industrial decarbonisation and regional energy transitions. We are equally committed to strengthening professional capacity in these fields and supporting the net-zero transformation of state-owned enterprises in China’s energy sector. Drawing on the deep expertise of our research team and our extensive network of partners, we provide evidence-based advice to decision influencers and foster the productive exchange of ideas among key stakeholders in China and abroad.

Recognising that no single institution can address the full complexity of transitioning from fossil fuels to renewables and ultimately to climate neutrality, Agora Energy China actively cultivates dialogue with stakeholders across politics, civil society, business and academia. Based in Beijing, Agora Energy China is a strategic partner of Agora Energiewende and Agora Industry. It also engages with various global networks working to advance the net-zero transition.

As a professional advisory on energy transition and climate policy, our Chinese name (博众智合) embodies our mission: learning widely from the best and bridging wisdom across China and the world. We aim to promote international collaboration in advancing the clean energy transition and tackling climate change. The task is both challenging and exciting, with numerous opportunities to make meaningful contributions.  To strengthen our team, we at Agora China are seeking to hire at the earliest possible starting date a Beijing-based
