May 19th marked the 34th National Disability Assistance Day in China, with the theme “Using Technology to Assist the Disabled, Sharing a Better Life.” Throughout the day, the China Rehabilitation Research Center organized a range of activities aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities.
The activities commenced on May 9th with a birthday party specifically organized for children with spinal cord injuries. This event aimed to bring joy and celebration to these children while raising awareness about their unique needs.
On May 16th, in collaboration with the Haidian District, the center co-hosted a publicity event showcasing various technological advancements in rehabilitation, assistive devices, employment, culture and sports, barrier-free access, and disability prevention within the district.
On May 20th, the center hosted another event which included free clinics in observance of the 2024 International Clinical Trials Day and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The aim was to provide medical support and raise awareness about the importance of utilizing technology to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.
