  • “United in Purpose, Embarking on a New Journey” Danlan NGO Successfully Holds Mid Year Volunteer Conference

On July 5, 2025, Danlan NGO hosted its Mid‑Year Volunteer Conference under the theme “United in Purpose, Embarking on a New Journey.” The event was attended by key leaders, including Danlan’s Director Chen Zihuang, heads of volunteer management and the HIV program, and core volunteers from various testing centers.

The conference reviewed achievements from the first half of the year and outlined key priorities for the upcoming period.By June 2025, Danlan’s registered volunteer base had grown to 96, collectively contributing 4,194 service hours. Volunteers successfully onboarded a new cohort through the 18th recruitment and training cycle, enhancing team capacity.

They also organized a Lantern Festival celebration, fostering internal cohesion. Contributions spanned diverse activities: data analysis, design of promotional materials, health education, and HIV-by-mail testing services—demonstrating vitality and professional commitment.

Looking ahead, the conference emphasized constructing a professional volunteer service framework, introducing a “tiered evaluation” mechanism for continuous skill development and multidimensional assessment. Attendees approved the 2025 annual volunteer team activities via vote and elected 7 new members to the Volunteer Executive Committee, ensuring stronger governance and operational continuity.

The HIV program head subsequently addressed service quality improvements, highlighting key issues identified during recent supervisory visits to testing centers. Standardized guidance was provided to address volunteers’ challenges with the “happy examination” appointment platform and NGO collaboration systems.

This mid‑year gathering not only reaffirmed gratitude for the team’s dedication but also rallied unity and clear focus for the future. Danlan’s volunteer corps remains committed to upholding professionalism and enthusiasm in safeguarding community health and promoting science‑based HIV prevention.
