The China Foundation Development Forum 2020 Hubei Summit was successfully held online on the 23rd of June, with the theme of “jointly responding to the changing public welfare ecology”. It attracted hundreds of organizations and thousands of people from Hubei Province and other parts of the country who care about the development of philanthropic work.
The summit reviewed the role and value of charitable forces during Hubei’s “war on the epidemic”, reflecting on the shortcomings they have displayed in responding to a major emergency and the necessary improvements, discussing future uncertainties, and building a path and method for a regional public welfare ecology. Eight front-line organisations from Hubei and four foundations from outside the province were also invited to present their projects during the summit.
It is reported that the China Foundation Development Forum also plans to hold a Guangzhou Summit and a Yangtze River Delta Summit this year, to continue contributing to the optimisation of the regional charity ecology.
