  • Oral Health and Nutrition Promotion Program Launches in Beijing

On May 23, the Chinese Red Cross Foundation, in partnership with Royal Future Technology Development Co., officially launched the “Oral Health and Nutrition Promotion Program” in Beijing. Guo Yang, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Red Cross, emphasized that the report of the 20th Party Congress elevates public health protection to a national strategic priority. He noted that the “Healthy China 2030” Plan Outline specifically identifies oral health as a critical focus. Supporting this goal of improving the nation’s overall health, the new initiative aims to enhance public awareness of oral disease prevention through expert seminars, community screenings, and educational campaigns.

Under the banner “Oral Health Index Release: Oral Health and Nutrition Screening,” Yang Jun, Deputy Director of the Management Committee for the Chinese Red Cross Foundation’s Chronic Disease Control Empowerment Fund, presented detailed data on the current state of oral diseases in China. He introduced the program’s innovative three-step model: “Screening–Intervention–Empowerment”, which establishes a comprehensive health management system from detection through treatment.

During the event, experts from public welfare organizations, along with Chinese and Japanese medical professionals and industry stakeholders, shared insights on oral disease prevention and nutritional innovation. They discussed interdisciplinary collaboration aimed at expanding public access to oral and nutritional health knowledge, thereby supporting the goals of “Healthy China 2030.”

Looking ahead, the program will focus on high-risk populations, particularly children and the elderly, and will collaborate with primary healthcare institutions to organize nationwide academic exchanges, public education campaigns, and expert clinics. By promoting healthy lifestyle habits, encouraging early detection and intervention of oral and nutrition-related issues, and strengthening primary care capabilities, the initiative aims to improve the oral health of all Chinese citizens.
