On July 28, the Beijing Lingfeng Foundation formally donated an ambulance to Koh Kong Provincial Referral Hospital, Cambodia. The donation ceremony was attended by Cambodian officials. Professor Ling Feng, initiator of Chinese Volunteer Doctors and chief expert at Xuanwu Hospital, learned during a previous visit that the hospital, located near the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, frequently handles traffic accident injuries. Lacking a general surgery department, patients often had to be transferred to Phnom Penh, and two of the hospital’s ambulances had been damaged, worsening delays in emergency care. The new ambulance will play a critical role in ensuring “no delay in emergency rescue” During the visit, Professor Ling Feng and volunteer Zhang Jiandong provided free medical consultations for over 20 patients.
