The Civil Affairs Department in Guangdong Province has concluded its annual assessment of elderly care facilities for 2023. A total of 92 elderly care facilities in Guangdong Province have been awarded star ratings.
These ratings are distributed across five categories: 14 facilities achieving the highest five-star rating, 21 earning four stars, 35 attaining three stars, six securing two stars, and 16 receiving a one-star rating.
The evaluation of elderly care facilities in Guangdong Province has been ongoing since 2017. The Provincial Civil Affairs Department has emphasized the importance of the star rating system in enhancing the quality of elderly care.
Additionally, the department aims to implement policies and measures to incentivize star-rated facilities, offer operational guidance, strengthen daily supervision, and foster a supportive environment.
To improve public access to information, the “Star Care” mini-program on WeChat enables users to easily search for star-rated elderly care facilities in the province. Users can input relevant details to retrieve information such as facility names, star ratings, addresses, and contact numbers for star-rated facilities across the province.
