2. Blue Sky Rescue Team Conducts Exchanges on Campus Safety Capacity Building with Kenyan Universities
On March 26, 2026, a delegation from the Blue Sky Rescue Team visited the University of Embu in Nairobi and held initial discussions on launching joint emergency capacity-building initiatives with the university.
During the visit, the university invited the team to deliver lectures on emergency preparedness and provide basic emergency response training for students. The Kenyan branch of Africa for SDGs expressed hope that the Blue Sky Rescue Team would scale up the emergency training program for university students across its network. Africa has a predominantly young population, with approximately 70% of Kenya’s population under the age of 35, and universities serve as key platforms for engaging young people. Launching cooperation focused on campus safety and emergency capacity-building aligns with the practical needs of local youth.
This event helped share the practical experience of Chinese civil society organizations in public safety and social governance, enhance mutual understanding, support the development of local volunteer networks, and lay a solid foundation for the sustained advancement of future cooperation.
