2. Seminar on Upholding Multilateralism and Promoting Global Governance Successfully Held in Beijing
On January 19, 2026, the Seminar on Upholding Multilateralism and Promoting Global Governance, hosted by the Research Institute for a Shared Future for Humanity at the China Foreign Affairs University and co-organized by the China National Association for International Studies, the Chinese Society of International Law, and the China Society of Diplomatic History, was successfully held in Lanting Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

3. World’s First Global TCM First Aid Festival Kicked Off in Beijing
On January 19, 2026, the inaugural Global Festival of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) First Aid, jointly initiated by leading institutions in the TCM field, commenced in Beijing. Under the theme of “Carrying on the Heritage, Working Together in Unity”, the event launched the exclusive festival for TCM Emergency First Aid practitioners, and hosted the First Aid Academic Symposium and the TCM First Aid Challenge Spring Festival Gala in parallel, achieving the dual goals of academic empowerment and cultural promotion.

4. One Root and One Dream·2026 Spring Festival Gala Evening of Global Chinese Held in Beijing
From January 19 to 20, 2026, the One Root and One Dream·2026 Spring Festival Gala Evening of Global Chinese was grandly held. During this cultural event which gathered the emotions and strengths of Chinese worldwide, the launch ceremony of the Global Chinese and Overseas Chinese Legal Service Program was solemnly held at the Conference Center of the National People’s Congress.
This Gala brought together over 800 Chinese business leaders, overseas Chinese representatives, cultural figures, and public welfare role models from around the world, as well as national ministerial-level leaders and foreign diplomats. The project, jointly initiated by the One Root One Dream platform, Beijing Hengyun Law Firm and other organizations, integrates high-quality domestic legal resources and connects global Chinese legal service forces to establish a cross-border legal service system.
It focuses on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the 67 million overseas Chinese, providing public welfare legal aid, and supporting the development of foreign-related legal systems and the protection of overseas Chinese rights and interests. The Global Legal Service Project for Overseas Chinese unites global Chinese through the power of the rule of law, explores new pathways for protecting overseas Chinese rights and interests in the new era, and allows overseas compatriots to feel the care and support of their homeland.

5. 2026 Global Governance Forum Grandly Held in Beijing
On January 24, 2026, the Global Governance Forum, hosted by Renmin University of China, organized by the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies and the School of Global Leadership of RUC, co-organized by the Institute of Global Governance and Development of RUC, and jointly held with Foreign Languages Press, was convened in Beijing.
Focusing on building consensus on global governance and contributing China’s solutions, the forum gathered diplomatic envoys from various countries stationed in China, representatives of international organizations, and Chinese and foreign experts and scholars. The event featured keynote speeches, new book launches, invited speeches, and in-depth discussions, where participants exchanged insights on topics such as reforming the global governance system, upholding multilateralism, and addressing global challenges, thereby establishing an open and inclusive international academic cooperation network.
This forum demonstrated the commitment of Chinese universities to global governance and provided an important platform for deepening governance cooperation among various sectors both in China and abroad.
