1. OCCFC Holds “Overseas Chinese Youth, Imagining China” Study Tour

From December 29, 2025, to January 5, 2026, the 2025 “Overseas Chinese Youth, Imagining China” (Phase 2) study tour for Chinese heritage youths, organized by the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, was successfully held in Beijing and Hebei. Thirty-nine Chinese heritage youths from 12 countries, including Thailand, the United States, Kenya, Seychelles, and the Czech Republic, gathered in Beijing for an 8-day journey blending cultural exploration with winter sports passion.

Through rich cultural experiences and in-depth interactive practices, this study tour successfully provided a unique platform for the youths to perceive Chinese culture, understand contemporary development, and foster cross-cultural understanding. The activity not only deepened the younger generation’s emotional and cultural connection to their ancestral homeland but also inspired their sense of responsibility to act as envoys of friendship between China and other countries, yielding solid and fruitful outcomes.

2. Laos-China Youth Cooperation and Development Association Leads “Warm Children Charity Initiative” Cross-Border Donation Activity

At the beginning of 2026, the “Warm Children Charity Initiative” cross-border donation activity, led by the Laos-China Youth Cooperation and Development Association and jointly organized by several Chinese charitable organizations, was officially launched in Vientiane, the capital of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. As the core organizing force, the association is committed to pooling youth strength, deepening China-Laos friendship, and supporting people’s welfare.

A total of 10 tons of donated clothing were distributed to multiple recipient areas, including Luang Prabang and Vieng. On December 31, 2025, over 30 Chinese volunteers arrived in Vientiane. From January 1 to 2, 2026, they sorted and packed the supplies, Eacheach item of clothing was carefully arranged, carrying the sincere care of people from both nations. From January 3 to 5, guided by a special task force, volunteers traveled to various recipient areas to personally deliver the clothing to the children, conveying warmth through face-to-face interactions.

3. 2026 China (Hainan)-ASEAN Humanities Exchange Forum Successfully Held at Hainan Tropical Ocean University

On the morning of January 10, the 2026 China (Hainan)-ASEAN Humanities Exchange Forum, jointly organized by Hainan Tropical Ocean University and Macau Millennium College, was successfully held at the Sanya campus of Hainan Tropical Ocean University.

Focusing on the theme “Hainan Free Trade Port Construction and ASEAN Humanities Exchange,” the forum attracted representatives from the education sector, academia, and relevant institutions in in China (including the Macau Special Administrative Region) and ASEAN countries. Participants discussed hot topics in educational openness, language services, and regional humanities cooperation, exploring prospects and new pathways for collaboration.

The forum featured academic discussions, achievement presentations, and the signing of cooperation agreements. The seminar segment included two parallel sessions where experts and scholars engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as “Hainan Free Trade Port Construction and the Development of China-ASEAN International Language Services,” and “International Chinese Education, Regional and Country Studies, Overseas Chinese, and Economic-Trade Cooperation,” building consensus and fostering deeper collaborations.

The forum established a long-term dialogue platform in humanities and education between China (Hainan) and ASEAN countries, injecting strong humanistic momentum into the developmenntdevelopment of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

4. China Foundation for Peace and Development Co-provides Free Medical Services in Cambodia

On January 11, 2026, the fourth “Silk Road Connects Hearts, China-Cambodia Forges Bonds” exchange event, jointly organized by the Cambodia Office of the China Foundation for Peace and Development and the Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) Team Assisting Cambodia, was formally held in Tanorn Village, a China-Cambodia Friendship Poverty Alleviation Demonstration Village in Bati District, Takeo Province., Cambodia.

Focusing on public health services and people-to-people exchanges, the event primarily included free TCM consultations, TCM culture promotion, and field visits to China-aided livelihood projects. During the event, the Chinese medical team provided routine health checks, characteristic TCM diagnosis and treatment, and health consultations to more than over a hundred local villagers.

The foundation delegation also revisited the nearby Angkomnob Primary School to inspect the use of the “Friends of the Silk Road” teaching building. The activity was warmly welcomed and highly commended by local residents and government officials.

This event serves as an important manifestation of deepened practical cooperation between China and Cambodia in health, education development, and livelihood improvement. It demonstrates the people-oriented and targeted approach of China’s assistance and stands as a vivid symbol of strengthening China-Cambodia friendship and promoting common development.
