To provide social worker services to society and foster the professionalization of the sector.

• Social Work Professional Training: Social Worker training before professional examination
• Youth Internship Base: Collaborating with NGOs to establish a platform with job and internship opportunities for young people
• Social Work Organizations’ Capacity Building: Holding various activities and workshops
• Government-Social Organization Service Platform: Building communication between governments and social organizations
• Social Work Research: Carrying out opinion polls and research on social work

Major Achievements

• December 2010, Shanghai Pudong New District Committee Organization Department and Shanghai Pudong New District Social Work Committee awarded: “Pudong New District Non-public Economic Organizations and New Social Organizations Party Building Model Organization”
• June 2010, China Social Work Association awarded: “Ethnic Social Work Organization Award”
• April 2009, Pudong New District Government awarded: “2007-2008 Pudong New District Outstanding Organization”

We started to explore the development of professional social work comparatively early in China. Today, we have 35 member organizations and about 800 individual members.
