Introduction

GFF envisions mindful food for a better world.

Goals

It aims to facilitate shifts in food production, distribution, and consumption patterns towards a healthier, more environmentally friendly, and more sustainable food system, by supporting investigative research, public communications, policy advocacy, public education, and entrepreneurship related to the food system.

Major Projects

  • Public education on food sustainability: build the most reliable knowledge hub on food-related issues in Chinese - the Good Food Academy (www.goodfoodchina.net). The website educates the users about the multi-faceted impacts of the industrial food system, especially factory farming, and how to make food choices for a better future.
  • Good Food Speaking Tour: GFF plans and carries out innovative educational events to inspire changes through face-to-face interactions. Such as the 2017 “Good Food Road Show” and 2018 “Green Dining at Yale” speaking tour.
  • Networks and Capacity Building: every summer, GFF organizes Good Food Hero Summit, which brings change-makers from across China and the globe to inspire research and action on making effective changes involved in the food system.
  • China leadership plan: international Chinese entrepreneurs/senior management/chefs in public food-services exchange
  • Catalyzing Changes: GFF provides small grants and fellowships to research, communication, education, and entrepreneurship efforts related to the food system under Good Food Incubator.
