To mark its 25th anniversary in China and as part of Caterpillar’s global centennial celerations, the Caterpillar Foundation has donated USD 250,000 to the China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD). This funding will support CFRD’s efforts to enhance disaster risk management and emergency response capacity in rural communities across China.
The donation will focus on rural areas of Jiangsu, Shandong and Beijing, aiming to strengthen local preparedness through public awareness campaigns, training programs, and the provision of essential emergency response equipment.
Since 2015, with supported from the Caterpillar Foundation, CFRD’s disaster preparedness and recovery initiatives have benefited approximately 34,000 households across 22 provinces and regions.
