CDP is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Project Officer / Senior Project Officer, with keen interest in environmental reporting and transparency to support CDP' s corporate engagement work.
The role requires a meticulous individual with strong technical and communication skills. The candidate must be able to come up to speed quickly with CDP's questionnaires and guidance, and apply this information to our products and services.
This can be an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in corporate engagement and management skills, and/or learning more about natural capital disclosure, corporate sustainability, environmental reporting, and what it might be like to work for a non-profit in the sustainability space.
◥ Engage with companies in disclosing environmental performance through CDP;
◥ Support local companies to disclose through CDP including develop corporate training materials in a way easy for deployment within local context to facilitate and fast pace the learning and capacity building process;
◥ Prepare data collected from global and domestic corporate responders;
◥ Support the delivery of products for corporate members, including Supply Chain Customer Reports, and Reporter Services;
◥ Analyze companies' responses and synthesize business intelligence for audiences from business, investors, policy makers community;
◥ Study on key policy and industrial trends in China, on climate change, energy, low carbon transition, green finance and other identified key topics;
◥ Study on high impact industries to provide insight for different categories of stakeholders;
◥ Support ad hoc tasks for the team.
Required skills and experiences
◥ Master degree in major of environment, climate change, energy or sustainable development area;
◥ 1-5 years analyzing experience with data on climate change and/or green finance;
◥ Excellent communication skill in Chinese and English, both in oral and written, confident verbal and written communication and presentation;
◥ Passionate about environmental and sustainable issues with a good level of self-motivation and drive;
◥ A clear understanding of the aims, objectives and processes of CDP and a strong conviction about CDP's impact.
◥ Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data;
◥ Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment;
◥ Ability to work within tight timelines on multiple projects simultaneously;
◥ Attention to detail, process-friendly, and result-oriented.

Term and Benefits:
The role will be a full-time position.
We offer a competitive salary and social, health and housing funds in accordance with local regulations, with 20 days’ vacation per year (increasing to 25), in addition to national holidays plus commercial supplemental healthcare, etc. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the China.
