The World Resources Institute (USA) Beijing Representative Office is looking for highly self-motivated students to be research interns for the Food and Natural Resources Program in WRI China.
As a research intern, you will help provide research, data collection and analysis, and administrative support to the Food and Natural Resources program in China. The intern will support several interdisciplinary and multi-group research projects on carbon neutrality in agriculture field or Partnership of Biodiversity and Finance (PBF) in China and internationally. The term will be at least six months.
Familiar with agriculture, food system and Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) related topics, able to conduct data collection, data cleaning and processing, and simple case studies.
Experience with similar research topics is preferred.
Draft summary referring to the information and data.
Copyedit reports, working papers, and other knowledge products.
Support other research activities per request.
Translation and other Administrative Affairs (30%)
Assist in the translation per request.
Provide administrative support per request.
Enrolled undergraduate (at least Junior) or graduate student towards a degree in GIS / food / agriculture / finance / environment / land use / nature resources or related fields;
Well in research and analysis by using model analysis and GIS tools is highly desired;
Experience with relevant research and project is preferred;
Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken);
Response to request in a timely manner;
Minimum commitment of 18-24 hours per week for 6 months.
