Full-time consultant, Sustainable Food Consumption and Supply Chain

Management reports to:   Senior Program Officer/Program Manager, Sustainable Food Consumption and Supply Chain

Location:  Beijing

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The work task is to support program management, research and communication work under the sustainable commodities projects. The work areas include sustainable meat, soybean, and palm oil projects. The specific tasks include:

1.  Assisting in on-going sustainable commodities projects management, supporting work of program officers, including coordination and communication with external partners, paperwork preparation, and workshop preparation etc.

2. Assisting in research including reviewing research and translation outputs, data and research materials analysis etc.

3. Assisting in communication work including drafting communication materials.

4. Accomplishing other work assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree or above is required, majors in economics, management, public administration, food, agriculture, and environment are desirable.

2. Excellent reading and writing skills in both Chinese and English.

3. Excellent organization, coordination and communication skills.

4. Experience in project management and research is desirable.

5. Experience in sustainable development issues related to food and agriculture is desirable.

6. Working experience in international organizations or NGOs is desirable.
